About Aliso Viejo
Aliso Viejo, a community consisting of nearly 45,000 people, was recognized as Orange County’s 34th city when incorporated on July 1, 2001. The city, located four miles from the Pacific Ocean, is recognized as a robust and dynamic community designed to meet the growing needs of young families, professionals and enterprising businesses. It is a balanced community with opportunities for housing, jobs, multi-modal transportations, and recreation. Aliso Viejo was the first planned community in California to provide a balance between its estimated 22,000 on-site jobs and the resident workforce. The City of Aliso Viejo is comprised of numerous neighborhoods administered by more than 100 sub-associations. It saw an increase of 30,000 people in a span of just 10 years, the largest increase in population among its South Orange County neighbors.
